Below is a quote from the book The Jeshua Channelings by Pamela Kribbe. It presents the psychological characteristics of a group of people she calls “lightworkers.”
“From the very beginning of their lives, they feel different. Very often, they feel isolated from others, lonely, and misunderstood. Frequently, they become individualists who strive to find their own unique life path.
-
-
They do not feel comfortable within traditional professions and organizational structures. By nature, they are non-authoritarian. This means they offer natural resistance to decisions and values based solely on power and hierarchy. This characteristic resistance to the authoritarian manifests even when they appear shy or timid. This is linked to the essence of their mission on Earth.
-
Lightworkers desire to help people as healers or teachers. They may be psychologists, therapists, nurses, teachers, etc. Even if their profession is not directly related to helping people, their intention to contribute to the highest good of humanity is clearly expressed.
-
Their vision of life is colored by a spiritual sense that everything is interconnected. Consciously or unconsciously, they carry memories of non-earthly spheres of light and sometimes long for their home, feeling like strangers on Earth.
-
They deeply honor and respect life, which often manifests as a love for animals and plants and a concern for the environment. The destruction of parts of the plant and animal kingdoms by human activity causes them great sorrow and a sense of loss.
-
Lightworkers are kind-hearted, sensitive, and empathetic. They may have trouble dealing with the aggressive behavior of others and usually find it difficult to stand up for themselves. They can be dreamers, naive, or great idealists, as well as insufficiently grounded—meaning they ‘have their heads in the clouds.’ Because they easily pick up the negative feelings and moods of others, it is important for them to spend time in solitude regularly. This allows them to distinguish their own feelings from those of others. They need seclusion to establish contact with themselves and with Mother Earth.
-
In many of their lives on Earth, they have been involved in religion and/or spirituality. In the past, most were monks and nuns in old religious orders, hermits, shamans, witches, priests, priestesses, etc. They created a bridge between the visible and the invisible, between daily earthly life and the mysterious realms of the afterlife—the realms of God, of good and evil spirits. In fulfilling this role, they were often rejected and persecuted. Many of you were tied to the stake for your talents. The traumas of these persecutions have left deep marks on the memory of your soul. This can now manifest as a fear of being fully grounded—a fear of being fully present in the moment—due to the memory of the cruel persecutions for who you were.” — Pamela Kribbe, The Jeshua Channelings

As seen from these psychological characteristics, this type of person does not always feel light or comfortable. They suffer from their difference, from a greater sensitivity to injustice and pain in the world, and from the inner woundedness they brought into this world. At the same time, these are exactly the people who carry positive changes in the times we live in.
Therefore, it is vital that they do not withdraw from the light they carry within themselves.
