“The ‘prep class’ here refers to the final phase in the dimension of ‘life between lives,’ discovered by Dr. Michael Newton during his regressive hypnosis sessions. The quote above is an example of the dialogues occurring across hundreds of hypnotic sessions with patients, through which he presents the ‘topography’ of this unusual soul dimension, where we review our past life and prepare the plan for the next. In it, his patient (P) speaks about how his soul undergoes special training to create ‘recognition signs’ that will help him respond to his soulmates when he meets them on Earth (soulmates are those through whom he will have the opportunity to grow by learning the lessons his soul has planned for the upcoming life).
Amidst the abundance of dialogues in this book—all of them extremely impressive and thought-provoking—this excerpt does not stand out as anything particularly different. For me, however, it is special because it touches upon the most poignant theme in our lives—the search for our soulmate. It is also special because of the message I see in it: there is no need to worry about whether we will meet our beloved. If such is the plan of our Soul, they will come, and we will recognize each other without fail. We don’t need to do anything else but relax, for only in the silence and trust in life will we hear our Melinda’s laugh.”
