“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.”
Abraham Lincoln
There are individuals whom I admire deeply and sincerely. One of them is Abraham Lincoln, whose biography is filled with losses—both personal and professional—marked by much death in his family and political failures. If, after so many hardships and obstacles along the way, a person can become the president of a great nation and contribute so much to its development, to me, this signifies immense strength. Immense Spiritual strength.
The thought above illustrates the source of this strength—the desire to stand on God’s side, even if He sends a series of misfortunes and takes the lives of those close to you. This strength may not make us presidents, but it will certainly make us independent masters of our own lives.
Evidently, when it comes to strength, it is all a matter of which side you choose to stand on.
