Start now, just start

“Start now. Start
where you are.
Start with pain.
Start with doubt.
Start with hands
shaking. Start
with voice trembling,
but start. Start
and don’t stop.
Start where you are,
with what you have.
Just start.”

Every beginning is the beginning with “hands shaking“. At first glance it looks like fear. At second glance, it is excitement. The kind of excitement that people with a love for adventure know all too well. They love the rush of adrenaline that is released along with overcoming fear and stepping into the new.

Due one reason or another, in one way or another, we are constantly putting something off. It doesn’t have to be something specific – it can be the dare to claim more and more your own truth. It doesn’t have to be something big – it could be sending a letter we’ve been planning to write for a long time. Putting things off is sometimes good – it helps us follow our inner impulse to act and wait for the right time to act. Sometimes, however, it is an expression of just the opposite – that the inner Adversary has gained the upper hand and is depleting our energy in the stalling stage of thinking – the endless thinking and planning, making us feel small and disarmingly indecisive.

If this verse comes to you now on the principle of synchronicity, see if it doesn’t refer to the latter. And see if it’s time for action.
