If You Wish to Be Kind to Others

“If you intend to be kind to others, you will have to be kind to yourself as well.

This means taking a day off from time to time when it is not planned.
Eating a piece of chocolate when it is not recommended.
Taking a nap when it is not possible.
Immersing yourself in a good book for an hour when you cannot afford the time.
Soaking in the bath when there is no time for that.

Stop everything when you are not obliged to.
And do it now, for God’s sake!”
