The Price of Mastery

“If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it would not seem so wonderful at all.” Michelangelo

When we see the achievements of the people we admire, we may be filled with regret that we do not possess their gift. But what lies behind people’s gifts is a great deal of hard work. And, if one believes in the theory of reincarnation—behind those gifts lies a great deal of work from many past lives. Therefore, if you want to become masters of your own life, do not give up on investing the kind of effort that will transform you into the person you want to be. This is often not a very pleasant process, but who ever said that becoming a master is easy?
