I highly recommend this book by Robin Norwood<\/b>, subtitled “A Spiritual Guide in the Labyrinth of Questions about Human Existence”<\/i> . To give you a better sense of the author and her writing style, I\u2019ll begin with a quote:<\/p>\n
*”Imagine someone standing before you and saying: ‘In the next few years, you will go through great difficulties. You will fall into a constant depression that will at times cause you great harm, and several times you will completely collapse from nervous breakdowns. You will divorce twice, and for a time, you will lose both of your grown children because they won’t be able to bear living with all your problems. You will develop severe food allergies and have other health issues. Oh, and you will be professionally humiliated by being fired. All of this will bring you to your knees and eventually force you to accept the help you need\u2014not from a psychoanalyst, but by adopting a spiritual approach to your problems with the help of a group of people in your same situation. Her first books, which became bestsellers and described her experience working with people addicted to relationships, were the product of agonizing personal experience in that very same field. These are the same events mentioned in the quote above. Her third book\u2014the one I am recommending now\u2014was written after a deep and prolonged crisis following her 42nd year, involving a long period of solitude and isolation from the world.<\/p>\n It is likely clear by now why I am so pleased to recommend this book. It is written by a therapist who looks at psychological problems through the eyes of the Spirit<\/b>, and whose knowledge comes not just from books, but from her own lived experience. It is a wisdom born of suffering, and therefore, it is deeply convincing, filled with examples that resonate with the soul.<\/p>\n As has been repeatedly shared on this site, through the eyes of the Spirit, everything has meaning; everything has its place.
